Training to Better Care for Victims

Once again, we're teaming up with Roger Williams University to improve the quality of service to crime victims.

In July and August we'll be providing our annual State Victim Assistance Academy at the University's Portsmouth campus. It's open to professionals who work with victims and survivors of crime.

Academy attendees have included staff from the Rhode Island Attorney General’s Office as well as detectives, advocates for the homeless and for domestic violence victims, hospital interpreters, elder affairs workers and others within the public and private sectors.
