New Facebook Policy?

Anybody know about this new Facebook policy? Got this off a Facebook posting from the Middletown, RI Patch.

"Due to Facebook's new policy, only about 10% of people that 'like' a fan page will see the status updates. In order to see all posts and notifications just click/hover over the 'Liked' button (beneath our page's cover photo) & hit the 'show in news feed' option. This will allow you to see all of our posts. (PLEASE SHARE!)."

Hmmm...This will certainly reduce the effectiveness of Facebook pages if all of the previous "likes" have to click on to be sure they're getting all the newsfeeds.

If you have any information on this, please leave a comment. I Googled this and couldn't find anything and went through Facebook help...nothing either!  Maybe I'm just not seeing it.

Meanwhile, "like" the Family Service of RI page, and the page of our AIDS Project RI division, and of our affiliate Lucy's Hearth.  And please be sure you hit the "show in newsfeed" option too under the "like" button.

And since they were kind enough to post, why not "like" the Middletown Patch page too!

This is getting complicated, isn't it?

Thanks!
